AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 7084 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CI_T
OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAK£ THE FOLLOWING CHANGES: ZON~ CASE NO. 2196; CHANGE A TRACT 0
LAND OUT OF SECTION 22,. BLOCK A, Cl.TY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM R-1 TO
A-1 ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO A COND.ITION; CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND-OUT OF SECTION
22, BLOCK A;~:Cl.TY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM R-1 TO R-2 ZONING DISTRICT·
PROVIDING FOR A PE.NALTY AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 1-5 OF THE Cl.TY CODE; PROVIDING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. .
WHEREAS, the proposed changes in zoning distr.icts as hereinafter made have been
duly presented to the Planning· and Zoning 'commission for its reconmendation which wa
received by the City Council and, after due consider:ation, the City Council finds

WHEREAS, all ~ondttlons prec:~d•nt requtrad cy law for a valid amendment to the
Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices
in compliance with Section 26 .of Ordinance No. 7084, as well 'as notices· provided by
Article 1011f, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and notice was
duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche-Journal more than fifteen (15) days
prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed
amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the
City Council Room on the second floor of ·the City Hal 1, Lubbo·ck, Texas, at which
time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was
by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest,' due to
changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the
man·ner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having
been introduced prior to first read i,ng hereof; NOW THEREFORE: ·
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUB,BOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 7084 and the Official Zoni_ng Map BE and the same
are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO .. 2196
A. Change a tract of land out of Section 22, Block A, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas., fromt\91 to A-1 zoning district. This pro-
perty is further described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears North 920.00 feet and East 2007.90 feet
from the Southwest corner of Section 22, Block A;
.THENCE East an approximate distancewof 155.00 feet;
THENCE North an approximate distance of 19ao.OO feet;
THENCE Northwesterly, around a curve to the left, said curve havi_ng an
approximate chord distance of 170.00 feet;
THENCE North 36°561 1011 West an approximate distance of 15.00 feet;
THENCE North 53°03 1 5011 East an approximate distance of 300.00 feet;
THENCE South an approximate distance of 2495.00 feet;
THENCE West an approximate distance of 320.00 feet;
THENCE North an approximate distance of 160.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.

SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:
1. That development be restricted to quadraplexes.
B. Cha_nge a tract of land out of Section 22, Block A, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas, from R-1 to R-2 zoning district. This pro-
perty ·is further described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears North 920.00 feet and East 2007.90 feet
from the Southwest corner of Section 22, Block A;
THENCE East an approximate distance of 155.00 feet;
THENCE North an approximate distance of 1980.00 feet;
THENCE Northwesterly, around a curve to the left, said curve havi_ng an
approximate chord distance of 170.00 feet;
THENCE North 36°56 1 1011 West an approximate distance of 15!00 feet;
THENCE South 53°03 15011 West an approximate distance of 205.00 feet;
THENCE Sotlth 36°56 1 1011 East an approximate dis,t!ance of 115.00 feet;
THENCE South an approximate distance of 1945.00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance
said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed
to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance h·ere-
with. .
SECTION 3. THAT violation of any provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed a
misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS as provided in
Section 1-5 of The City Code.
SECTION 4. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word
of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remain-
der of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 5. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publication of
the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law.
