AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFF!-.
IAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
RANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1620: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND EXTENDING 1301
OUTH FROM LOT 9, BUSTER LONG ADDITION, AND EXTENDING 151.2' WEST
ROM SLIDE ROAD, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS FROM A
'C-2" TO A 11 C-3rr ZONING DISTRICT; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND
ROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in Zoning Districts as hereinafter made has
een duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation
hich was received by the City Council and, after due consideration, the City
ouncil finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the
ublic interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment to
he Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
otices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices pro-
·cted by Article l0llf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and
otice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fif-
een (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such
roposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held
the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at
hich time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it
as by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to
hanged conditions, . that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zon_ing Map be amended in th
armer hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance havin
een introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
he same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1620
CHANGE A tract of land extending 130 1 South from Lot 9, Buster Long
Addition, and extending 151. 2 1 West from Slide Road, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas from a nc-211 to a "C-311 Zoning District.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc ,
aid lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed
o the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance
erewith.

SECTION 3. Should any se'ction, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase, or
ord of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the
emainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause publicati
f the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by
