AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A SPECIFIC USE
PERMIT, TO-WIT: MOBILE HOME PARK ON A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF
SECTION 22, BLOCK A:~ CITY OF LUBBOCK:~ LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.

Wf!EREAS, a proposed change in Zoning Case No. 1437 -A has been dul~
resented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendation, whi
was received by the City Council, and after due notice and public hearing and a
matters having been done and performed as required by the comprehensive Zor.
Ordinance of the City of Lubbock (said Ordinance being an appendix to the Lubb
City Code), and after due consideration upon hearing before the City Council, t
City Council finds that it would be expedient and in the interest of the public he<
morals and general welfare to authorize the granting of a Specific Use Permit !
hereinafter set forth; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendn
to the Zoning Ordinance have been fully complied with, as well as giving notice
in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provide

was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteer
(15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on suet

at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hear
lit was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, du
to changed conditions, that the Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance be amended ir
manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance h
een introduced prior to first reading thereof; NOW THEREFORE:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Director of Planning of the City of Lubbock is
authorized to issue a Specific Use Permit to the Applicant in Zone Case No. 14
· rovided said Applicant agrees to be bound by the terms of the Specific Use Pel
e granting of which is hereby made subject to compliance to all provisions of
Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, an Ordinance of the City of Lubbock, including par
ticularly but not limited to., Section 14-A of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 within 1
(10) mc;mths of the effective date of this Ordinance, the City Secretary-Treasur
shall be and is hereby authorized and instructed, upon written notice from the
Director of Planning that Applicant has not complied with the provisions, condi
ions and terms imposed by this Ordinance, to note Applicant1s failure to comp
the margin of the Minutes of the City Council opposite entry of this Ordinance,
he authorization to issue such Specific Use Permit is hereby revoked; and the
Director of Planning in such event is directed to remove from the Zoning Map
egend indicating such limited use. The Specific Use authorized by this Ordina

is for a Mobile Home Park under the provisions of Section 14-A. 1-19 of the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance of the City of Lubbock on a tract of land out
QrSection 22, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, as further described by metes
and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1 11 i~n pipe that bears east 2307.7
feet and north 60 feet of the southwest corner of
Section 22 for the southwest corner of this survey;
THENCE north 3184.7 feet to the south right of
way line of Loop 289 for the northwest corner of
this survey;
THENCE north 53°021 east 1386.6 feet, along
south right of way line of Loop 289 to a point in
the west line of Texas Tech Tract, for the north-
east corner of this survey;
THENCE south 3473. 2 feet to a point in the west
line of Texas Tech Tract, a corner of this survey;
THENCE west 800 feet, the northwest corner of a
10 acre tract, a corner of this survey;
THENCE south 545 feet to north right of way line
of 4th Street, a corner of this survey;
THENCE west 208. 1 feet to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING
EXCEPT, however, this specific use permit shall
not apply to that portion of the above property
presently zoned 11C-211•
SECTION 2. Should any paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of
this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional _or invalid for any reason., the
remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause
publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method
provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
