BLOCK 85, OVERTON ADDITION TO · THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK
COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM AN '?R-2 11 TO AN 11 R-311 ZONING DISTRICT. {SAID
PROPERTY BEING LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTER-
SECTION OF MAIN STREET AND AVENUE X). SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING
CONDITION: 1. THAT ONE PAVED, OFF-STREET PARKING SPACE BE PRO-
VIDED FOR EACH UNIT ON AN APARTMENT DEVELOPMENT AND THAT ONE
PAVED, OFF-STREET PARKING SPACE BE PROVIDED FOR EACH 200 SQUARE
FEET OF BUILDING AREA OF A CLlNIC OR HOSPITAL DEVELOPMENT.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presente:lto the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda-
tion, which was received by the City Commission and after due consideration,
the City Commission finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out
will be in the public interest;and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving I
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided &y Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1953, an·
notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than
fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public· hearing before the City Commission
on such proposed amendment and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in the Assembly Room of the Central Fire Station Building., located at
502 Avenue Kin Lubbock, Texas, at which ti.me persons appeared ina.tpport of the
proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Commission determined that 1.t
would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinan e
and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of
this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced in final written form
prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and tHe
same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 930
Change Lots 7 through 12 inclusive, Block 85~ Overton
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texa~,
from an 11R-Z11 to an "R-311 zoning district. (Said property
being located at the Southeast corner of the intersection of
Main Street and Avenue X). Subject to the following condition:
1. That one paved, off-street parking space be provided for
each unit on an apartment development and that one paved, off-
street parking space be provided for each 200 square feet of
building area of a clinic or hospital development.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinanc ,
said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed I
to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance here
