AN ORDlNANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 661 AND THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING CHANGES: (1) ZONING CASE 1391 -CHANGE LOTS 1, 2, 3,
AND 4, BLOCK 13, ORIGINAL TOWN~ FROM AN 11 E 11 TO AN 11F 11 DISTRICT
(4TH STREET AND AVENUE D)! (2) ZONING CASE 1392-CHANGE LOT
18, BLOCK .2., MAY ADDITION. FROM A 11C 11 TO AN 11F 11 DISTRICT (29TH
STREET AND AVENUE L); (3) ZONING CASE 1393 -CHANGE LOT 3,
TONROY &t STALNAKER SUBDIVISION FROM AN 11A 11 TO AN 11 H11 DISTRICT

WHEREAS, the proposed changes in Zoning Districts as hereinafter made
have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom-
mendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission, and,
after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed
changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all notices have been given in compliance with Section 25 of
Ordinance 661, as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Revised Civil
Statutes, as amende~, and notice was duly published on August 24, 25, and 26,
1952 in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing, according to
said natice, was held at 2:00P.M. on September 11, 1952 in the City Commis-
sion Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time
persons appeared in support of, and in opposition to one of, the proposals~ and,
after said hearing it was by the City Commission determined that it would be
in the public interest, due to c·hanged conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and
the Zoning Map be amended in substantial complia;nce with the proposals;
THEREFORE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE,
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
{1) Zoning Case 1391 -Change Lots One (1), Two (2), Three (3), and
Four {4}, Block Thirteen (13), Original Town, from an 11 E''' to an "F11
District (Fourth Street and Avenue D).
(2) Zoning Case #1392 .. Change Lot Eighteen (18), Block :rwo (2),
May Addition, from a "C" to an 11 F 11 District {29th Street and
Avenue L).
(3) Zoning Case ##393 ,-Change Lot· Three (3), Tonroy &t Stalnaker Sub-
division, from an 11A 11 to an 11H11 District (East Broadway and Pine
Avenue).
(4} Zoning Case f394 -Zoning Pattern No. 12 of the over-all zoning
pattern for the city: Beginning at the eenter line of 34th Street and
Quaker Avenue; THENCE South to the center line of the alley in Block
Seven (7), College Heights; THENCE West to the center line of Raleigh
Avenue; THENCE North to the center line of Raleigh Avenue and the
center line of the alley in Block Two (2), College Heights; THENCE
West and parallel to 34th Street to the center line of York Avenue;
THENCE North ta the center line a£ 34th Street; THENCE West to
the east line M Block Three (3), Hillcrest Community Cet?-ter; THENCE
Nerth to a point 150 feet north of the section line of 34th Street;
THENCE East and parallel to 34th Street to the center line of Quaker
Avenue' THENCE South to the center line of 34th Street to the place
of beginning, from its present zoning to a ·11B 11 District.
(5) Zoning Case #H 73 -Beginning at the point of intersection of the
Nortli boundiry line of 21st Street and the Northeast boundary line of
city limits, said point being 797. 1 feet southeasterly from the north
boundary line of Section Five (5), Block B, T. T.R.R. Survey, meas-
ured along the said city limit line; THENCE Easterly at an angle of
50degrees 18 minutes left along new city limit boundary line a distance
of 856.6 feet; TH;ENCE southeasterly at an angle of 50 degrees 18 min-
utes right a distance of 3892. 1 feet; THENCE southerly at an angle of
39 degrees 47 minutes right a distance of 1264.5 feet; THENCE
southeasterly at an angle of 39 degrees 47 minutes left a distance of
0
~29. 8 feet to a point in the southerly city limit boundary line;
THENCE westerly at an angle of 129 degrees and 47 minutes
right a _distance of 130.1 feet; THENCE northwesterly at an

From and after passage and effective date of this Ordiitance, said tracts
above referred to shall be changed to the Zoning Districts ind~cated and the
Official Zoning Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith.
