AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHlNG A FREIGHT LOADING ZONE ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
THE 2400 BLOCK OF 14TH STREET Bl!XimNING AT A POINT F.Ol'tml FEET (40') EAST OF THE
SAST CURB LINE OF COLLIDE AvmtlE AND EX:TPl'lDDIG EAST A DISTANCE OF 'l'WmTY FEET
(20t); REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREMITH; AUTHORIZING PAINTJBG OF CURB;
AND DFX;LARmG AN E24ERGENOY.
WHEREAS, in the interest of the public safety, changed traffic condition
and business loading and unloading requirements make imperative immediate changes
in the establishment of freight loading zones; THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOOKt
SOOTION 1. That freight loading zones be and are hereby established at
the following locationss
A. On the North side of th~ 2400 Block of 14th Street, beginning
at a point E0dy feet (40•) East of the East line of College
Avenue and extending East a distance of 'lWenty feet (20•).
SIDTION 2. ~at part of any ordinance or order in conflict herewith is
bereb,y repealed.
SOOTION 3. That the Traffic Engineer is hereby authorized and directed
to cause the curb in this zone to be painted and such zone plainly marked as a
freight loading zone.
SinTION 4. Due to the changed traffic conditions and so that the public
can have Ml use of the public streets, this Ordinance is declared to be an
emergency measure and 1 t is necessary tliat the rule requiring o~inanl:9s to be
read at two (2) separate committee meetings be dispensed with and that this Ordi-
nance become effective from the date of its passage as pr<iilided by lav.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
