AN ORDINANCE SETTING THE TAX RATE AND lEVYING A TAX UPON ALL PROPERTY
SUB~T TO TAXATION WITHIN TH& CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, FOR THE~ 1952;
APPORTIONING SAID LEVY AMONG THE VARIOUS 'FUNDS AND ITEMS FOR WHICH REV"mUE
MUST IE RAISED, LEVYING AN OCCUPATION TAX UPON ALL OCOJPATIONS TAXABLE, AND
FIXING THE TIME IN WHICH SAID TAXES BE PAID, AND ASSESSING PENALTY AND IN-
TEREsT FOR THE NON-PAYMENT OF SUCH TAXES WITHIN THE TIME SET, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT there shall be levied and assessed upon all property
subject to taxation within the City ot Lubbock, Texas, tor the year 1952,
the sum or $1.50 per One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars1 valuation thereof'; and
the same, shall be applied to the various tunds in the. following manner:
$0.66 per $100.00 valuation ... to the Interest and Sinking Fund
• 79 per $100.00 valuation -to the General Fund
__&2 per $100.00 valuation -to the Board ot City Development

SECTION 2. THAT all ad valorem taxes shall be paid before the first
day of February, 195.3, ani taxes not paid by that date shall have to said
taxes added the sum of ten per cent (10%) penalty, and bear interest from
said date. at six percent ( 6%), and thereafter such tees and costs shall be
added, as provided by law• tor State and County, taxes.
SECTION .3. Tha.t there is levied upon all occupations taxable, one-half'
(l ) the sum charged by the State ot Texas tor pursuing such occupation.
Passed and aooroved by unanimous vote of' the City Commission on first
reading this 29tb day of August, 1952.
Passed and approved by unanimous vote of the City Commission on second
reading this 11th day ot Septep1ber, • , 1952.
