WHEREAS, the proposed changes in Zoning Districts as hereinafter made
have been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning ~ommission for its recom-
mendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission, and,
after due consideration; the ·City Commission finds that making the p roposed
changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; andt
WHEREAS, all notices have been given in compliance with Section 25 of
Ordinance 661, as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Revised Civil
Statutes, as amended, and notice was duly published on July 22, 2.3. and 24,
1952 in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing, according to
said notice, was held at 2:00 P.M. on August 14, 1952 in ·the City Commission
Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time per-
sons appeared in support of the proposals and, after said hearing, it was by
the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to
changed conditions, that the Z,oning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended
in substantial compliance with the proposals; THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY 'IHE CITY .COMMISSION OF THE CITY .OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That Ordinanc~ No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE,
