AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 661 AND THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING CHANGE: (1) ZONING CASE 1386 -CHANGE LOTS 9 THROUGH
16, BLOCK 3, WALDEN SUBDIVISION OF LOT 3, ZELLNER ACRES, FROM
AN "An DISTRICT TO A "C11 APARTMENT DISTRICT (LOCATED AT 34TH
STREET BETWEEN SALEM AND TOLEDO AVENUE).
WHEREAS, the p ·roposed change in Zoning Districts as hereinafter made
hae been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom-
mendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission, and,
after due consideration, the City Commission finds that making the proposed
changes as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all notices have been given in compliance with Section 25 of
Ordinance 661, as well as notices provided by Article 1011£, Revised Civil
Statutes, as amended, and notici:e was duly published on July 6, 8, and 9, 1952
in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing, according to said
notice, was held at 2:00 P.M. on July 24, 1952 in the City Commission Room.
on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons
appeared in support of the proposal and, after said hearing, it was by the
City Comn1ission determined that it would be in the public interest, due to
changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended
in substantial compliance with the proposal, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION I. That Ordinance No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE,
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
(1) Zoning Case #386 -Change Lots Nine (9) through Sixteen (16),
Block Three (3), Walden Subdivision of Lot Three (3), Zellner
Acres, from an ''A11 District to a "C11 Apartment District
{located at 34th Street between Salem and Toledo Avenues).
From and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said tract
above referred to shall be changed to the Zoning District indicated, and the
Official Zoning Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
On motion of Commissioner Thomas , seconded by Comm.is------------------
sioner __ M_o_r-_r_i_s _____ , the foregoing Ordinance was passed on first reading
by the following vote this 24th day of July , 195Z:
Commissioners voting "YEA": Morris, Carpenter, Thomas ani Mayor Tripp

NOTICE is hereby given that the Planning· Commission has recOlJDended to the
City Commission that Zoning Ordinance No. 661 be amended so that:

11A" District to a 11C11 Aparlment District. (Located
at 34th Street between Salam and Toledo Avenue).
The City Commission will hold a public hearing on July 24, 1952 at 2:00 o'clock
P. M. in the City Comission room on the first floor of the City Hall in Lubbock
to consider the recommendations of the Zoning and Planning Commission to deter-
mine the advisability of adopting its proposal; and at which time and place all
interested persons will be given an opportunit;r.to protest against the proposed
amendment or make recommendations in support thereof.
After said hearing, the City Commission will dete!fDine whether the Zoning Ordi-
nance will be amended in accordance with such recommendation.
