ORDINANCE NO. 1168 ------
AN ORDINANCE .ESTABLISHING ADDITIONAL LOADING ZONES ON
AVENUE H, TEXAS AVENUE AND AMHERST STREET-AND DEClARING AN
EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, changed traffi c conditions and business loading and unload
ing requirements require immediate changes for loading purposes in the inter
est of public safety, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That loading zones BE and the same are hereby estab
lished in the following locations:
(1) A twenty {20} feet loading zone in front of 811 Avenue H.
{2) A twenty {20) feet loading zone in front of 1412-1/2 Texas ~
Avenue by Meter Space No. 1-14-14.
{3) A twenty (20) feet loading zone adjacent to 2506 Amherst
Street.
SECT ION 2.. That part of any ordinance or resolution in conflict with
the provisions d this ordinance is hereby repealed, and authority is here
granted to remove the meter at Space No. 1-14-14.
SECTION 3,. Authority is here granted and the office in charge of
traffic m.a~ters is directed to paint the curb along the ui.reas hereinabove desig
nated to place such uniform signs as may be provided.
The provisions of t~s ordinance shall become effective from and
after its passage.

On motion of Commissioner Thomas , seconded by Com-
missioner Morris , the foregoing Ordinance was approved
and passed by the City Commission on this 1.3th day of December
