AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING .ORDINANCE NO. 661 AND THE
OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CI'IX OF LUBBOCKSO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING CHANGE: {1) ZONING CASE 1347: CHANGE A TRACT OF
LAND OUT OF SECTION SEVEN (7), BLOCK B1 BEGINNING AT A POINT
69.2 FEET NORTH OF AND 116.4 FEET WEST OF THE SOUTHEAST CORNER
OF SECTION SEVEN (7), BLOCK B; THENCE NORTH 2° 14' WEST 895. 1
FEET; THENCE WEST 478.7 FEET; THENCE SOUTH AND PARALLEL TO
THE EAST LINE OF SECTION SEVEN (7), BLOCK B. 897 FEET; THENCE
NORTH 89° 53' EAST ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF U. S. HIGHWAY NO. 84
A DISTANCE OF 513.6 FEET TO PLACE OF BEGINNING, FROM AN 11A"
DISTRICT TO AN "L'' DISTRICT (LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER
OF AVENUE A AND 34TH STREET).
WHEREAS, the proposed change in Zoning Districts as hereinafter made
has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recom-
mendation, which recommendation was received by the City Commission, end
after due consideration, the City Commission unanimously finds that making
the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest, and,
WHEREAS, all notices have been given in compliance with Section 25 of
Ordinance No. 661, as well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Revised Civil
Statutes, as amended, and notice was duly published on November 10, 11, and
12, 1951, in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche, and the public hearing, according
to said ~tice,,:: was held at 2:00 P.M. on November 26, 1951, in the City Com-
mission Room on the first floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which
time pe-rsons appeared in support of the proposal and, after said hearing, it
was by the City Commission determined that it would be in the public interest,
due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be
amended in substantial compliance with the proposal, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK
SECTION 1. That Ordinance No. 661 and the Official Zoning Map BE,
and the same is hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
(1) Zoning Case 1347: Change a tract of land out of Section Seven (7),
Block B, beginning at a point 69.2 feet North of and 116.4 feet West of the
Southeast corner of Section Seven (7), Block B; Thence North zo 14 1 West 895.1
feet; Thence West 478.1 feet: Thence South and parallel to the East line of
Section Seven (7), Block B, 897 feet; Thence North 89° 53' East along the
North line of U. S. Highway No. 84, a distance of 513.6 feet to the place of
beginning, from an "A" District to an "L" District (located on the Northwest
corner of Avenue A and 34th Street).
From and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance, said tracts
above referred to shall be changed to the Zoning Districts indicated and the
Official Zoning Map is hereby amended in accordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.

The City Conmdssion \~ill hold a public hearing on November 26, 1951
at ?:00 o'clock P.M. in the.City Commission room on the first floor of the
City Hall in Lubhock to consider the recommendations of the Zoning and Planning
Col11ll.ission to deterndne the advisability of adopting its propos.ll; and at 1vhich
time and place all interested persons will be given an opportuntty to protest
against the proposed amendment or make recommendations in support thereof.
After said hearing, the City Conunission will determine uhether the Zoning Ordi-
