AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF 16TH STREET BETWEEN
BLOCKS 206 AND 190, ORIGINAL TOWN OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY,
TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it has no need for the parcel
of land hereinafter described and the same is not needed for street and highway
purposes, and by reason of its cl~ing it will become taxable property,
THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:

THAT the following tract BE and the same is hereby abandoned/as a
street, the same being situated in the Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas, and described by metes <ll.d bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point 42.5 feet East of the Southwest corner of
Block 190, Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas,
said point being in the South property line of said Block 190, and
the Northwest corner of the tract of land here described; THENCE
continuing East with the South property line of said Block 190 a
distance of 82. 5 feet to the Southeast corner of said Block 190,
said Southeast corner of said Block 190 being the Northeast corner
of this tract; THENCE South a distance of seventy-five feet (75 1 )
to a point, said point being the Southeast corner of this tract and
Northeast corner of Block 206, Original Town of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas• THENCE West with the North property line of said
Block 206 a distance of 82.5 feet to a point, said point being the
Southwest corner of this tract; THENCE North a distance of seventy
five feet (75 1 ) to the place of beginning, and containing 0.142 acres of
land, more or less.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
