WHEREAS, an area on the North side of 14th Street adjacent to the North
curb and sih~y (60) feet ~Test of Avenue Q is needed for the loadh1g and unloading
of merchandise in connection -vrl.th the operation of a music store lo.cated in the
adjacent building, and in order -to avoid obstr~cting traffic on said 14th Street,

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COl-llfiSSION OF 'i'HE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT, the area on the North side of 14th Street sta1~ing at a
point si..xty (60) fee-t. West of Avenue Q and running infest a distance of t'to~Tenty (20)
feet is hereby designated as a loading zone.
SECTION ~. TID\T, the North curb of 14th Street as described in Section One
(1) shall be painted yellow with the following lettering~ 11LOADil\U ZOl'iiEf'.
~ -. SECTION 3. THAT, after the effective date of this ordinance, it shall be
unlawful for one to permit, allow or suffer a motor vehicle to stop in the area
described :in Section One (1) for e:ny purpose other than \'lhile actually engaged
in the loading and uhloading of merchandise, and a person found guilty U11der this
Ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be fined in any sum of money not
more than Two Hundred ($2oo:oo) Dollars.
SECTION 4. THAT, the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to
publish the descriptive caption of this Ordinance together 1td.th Penalty Clause
No. Three (3) as an alternative method of publication provided by law.
