AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING AND REGULATING THE CHARGES
AND RATES OF THE SOUTHWESTERN BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY IN
THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, AND FIXING A SCHEDULE OF RATES
TO BE CHARGED BY SAID COMPANY.
WHEREAS, the City Commission has duly conside red the application of
the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for a substantial increase and
adjustment in rates, and the Commission finds that the rates fixed by this
ordfn.ance are fair, reasonable and equitable, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMI$SION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company is hereby
authorized to place into effect on its first billing date after this ordinance
becomes effective, in accordance with the Charter of the City of Lubbock, the

section shall not be construed or applied or charged so as to increase the
rates fixed by Section l (One) for the class of service therein specified:

of the City Commission under the law to determine, fix and regulate the rates
and charges made and to be made by the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company
