AN ORDINANCE RELEASING PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN PAVING UNITS NOS. 848, 91.3,
915 AND 921 OF ORDmANCE NO. 925 FRQ1 ALL LIENS AND ASSESSMENTS PROVIDED FOR IN
SAID ORDmANCE, INSOFAR AS SUCH ASSESSMENTS RELATING TO THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN
UNITS NO. 848, 91.31 915 AND 921, ABANDONING THE PROPGSED PAVING IN SAID UNITS,
AND REAFFIRMING SAID ORDINANCE IN ALL PTHER RESPECTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE A RKLEASE OF THE PAVING ASSESSMENT LIEN AS A GnOUD UPON THE TITLE TO
THE PROPERTY IN UNITS NOS. 8481 913, 915 AND 921.

"M iE"J.l ,... WHEREAS, substantially all of the property in Units Nos. 848, 91.31 915
.. tJ 1 . and 921 of Ordinance No. 925 is homestead, and a large number of tlie owners have
}v~ refused to execute Mechanic Liens for paving improvements abutting property
• described in said units, and the City Commission finds that it is in the public 1../')A-11!1,.~41 • interest to abandon said Uh1ts for paving purposes, and no paving has been done
~, in said Units, THEREFORE:
8 w~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:

THAT, the property described in Paving Units Nos. 848, 91.3, 915 and 921, tt--P,....~..o of Ordinance No. 925 recorded August 1.3, 1949, in Volume .39.3, Page 11, Deed Records
t!J·''t1ktf.£. of Lubbock County, Texas, are hereby released from any and all liens and encum-
~t-le; brances resulting from the proceedings establishing such claims and liens, insofar
as such proceedings relating to paving assessments in Units Nos. 848, 913, 915
and 921.
This Ordinance shall never be construed as modif'Ying, releasing, or other-
wise affecting any property except that described in Unit Nos. 848, 91.3, 915 and
921 of' Ordinance No. 925.
The Mayor of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized to execute a release
covering the property in Units Nos. 848, 91.3, 915 and 921, so as to clear the
same from an::r cloud upon the title.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
