AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15 OF THE .PARKING METER OIIDINANCE NO • .564, SO
AS TO INCLUDE SECTION 15-D, WHICH INCLUDES THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE AND
PROVIDES A NEW PARKING METER ZONE EMBRACING THE EAST SIDE OF TEXAS A VENUE FROM
14TH STREET TO 15'ffi STREET AS A TWO-HOUR PARKING ZONE, AND THE NORTH SIDE OF
15TH STREET BETWEEN THE ALLEY IN THE 900 BLOCK AND TEXAS A"VmUE., T.J:M!TED TO 'l'WG-
HOUR MErERS, PROVIDING FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TWO-HOUR f,mn'ERSI REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES RELATING TO PARKING ON THAT PART OF THE STREETS HEREIN DESIGNATED, AND
CONFLICTIOO WITH THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. ;64, PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION NCJI' TO EXCEED $100.00, AND DIRECTING THE CITY SECRETARY TO PUBLISH THE
CAPTION OF THIS ORDINANCE, TOGETHER WITH THE PENALTY CLAUSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK.
SECTION 11 That Section 15 of Ordinance No. 564 is here by amended so that
said Section shall hereinafter include the following Section, designated as 15-D,
which Section shall read as followsl
"SECTION 15-Da That it shall be unlawf'ul and an offense for aztr person, firm,
or corporation operating vehicles, to permit any vehicle to remain standing or
parked upon any or the streets within aey of the parking space hereinafter desig-
nated for a longer continuous period than the time limit stated in Section 2
hereof, between the hours o£ 9:00 o'clock, A. M., and 6:00 o'clock, P. M., on BDT
day except Sunday and holidays, official~ designated b,y the City Commission or
the City of Lubbock, Texas.n
SECTION 2t That Section 2.3 of Ordinance No. 564 is hereby amended so as to

streets hereinafter designated, which shall limit the time of parking as follows,

(A) The East side of Texas Avenue, from 14th Street to 15th Street.
(B) The North side of 15th Street between the alley in the 900 Block
and Tems Avenue.
SECTION 3: All provisions of other Ordinances in conflict with the provisions
I of this Ordinance relating to parking meters on that part of the streets herein
1 designated is hereb,y repealed, p.ROVIDED nothing herein shall ever be construed as
111 repealing a~ part of Ordinance No. 564, except as herein expressly provided.
I SECTION 41 That any person, firm, or corporation who shall violate or aid or
abet the violation of any provisions of this Ordinance and Ordinance No. 564,
which it amends, shall, upon conviction, be fined in a~ sum not exceeding ;1oo.oo.
SECTION .5: The City Secreta1"7 is hereby directed to cause publication of the
descriptive caption of this Ordinance; together with the penalty clause, being
Section 4, as an alternative provided by Chapten Ten, Page One Hundred Twelve,
Acts 1939 of the 46th Legislature; as amended by Chapter Two Hundred Sixty-Four,
Page Four Hundred Sixty-three, Acts 1947, of the 50th Legislatureet
