AN ORDINANCE ANMING AN AREA AND TERRITORY ABUTTING AND ADIACENT TO THE CI
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, BEIi►iG SUBSTANTIALI THAT PART OF 19TH STBM LYING
REST OF MADISON AVENUE AND BETWEEN 19TH STREET EXTENDED TO THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE
OF THE SANTA FE RAILWAY RIGHT-OF-WAY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND FINAL PASSAGE
UNDER. THE PRMStONS OF ,ARTICLE I, CHAPTER I, OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK
AND EXTENDING THE CITY LIMITS TO INCLUDE SAID AREA.
WHEFXAS, during recant annexation prooeedinge, that part of 19th Street here
inafter described was inadvertently omitted from the extension and annexation and

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. That the hereinafter described area and territory be and the samq

is hereby annexed to and included within the corporate limits of the City of Lubboc,
said area being described by metes and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a corner of the existing city limits, which corner is
the point of intersection of the West right -of -Way line of the Pan-
handle and Santa Fe Railroad and the Soa6h boundary line of 19th
Street; THENCE in a Northeasterly direction to the intersection of
the West right-of-way line of the Panhandle and Santa Fe Railroad
and the North boundary line of 19th Street; THENCE in an Easterly
direction along the North boundary line of 19th Street to its inter-
section with the Nort#-South aity;limit line which intersects the
Texas Technological College property; THENCE South along the present
city limit line to the South Boundary line of 19th Street; THENCE
West along the present city limit lint to the place of beginning.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be forthwith published in a daily newspaper
published in the City of Lubbock, Texas, one time and shall not be thereafter fina7lr
acted upon until at least thirty (30) days have elapsed after such publication, and
if finally passed in its present form the boundary limits of the City of Lubbock
shall thereby be fixed to include the area, territory and extension described in
Section 1 of this Ordinance.
On motion of Commissioner Hufstedler , seconded by Commissioner price
and carried by an affirmative majority vote of the City Commission of the City of
Lubbock, this Ordinance was ordered to be published at a Regular Meeting of the City
Commission this the 12 day of January , 1950.

Description of that Portion of 19th Street to be included
in the City Limits
Beginning at a corner of the existing City Limits, which corner is
the point of intersection of the West Right of Way line of the Panhandle and
Santa Fe Railroad and the South Boundary Line of 19th street, thence in a north-
easterly direction to the intersection of the West Right of Way line of the Pan-
handle and Santa Fe Railroad and the North Boundary Line of 19th street,, thence
in an easterly direction along the North Boundary Line of 19th street to its
intersection with the North -South City Limit line which intersects the Texas
Technological College property, thence south along the present City Limit line
to the South Boundary line of 19th street, thenoe west along the present City
Limit line to the place of beginning.
