the Ci t.y Co•ission that .ZoniDg OrdiD&nce lo. 661 be aMDded so that:
. SECTIOM 1. That Section II be aaeDded to include tb• following detini tion: '
, -EFFICIENCY APARTMENTS. A building ot more than one 1t017 in height, occupied
or deaigDed tor eight or more liYiltg ~units in apartments containing not less than
JOO sq. tt. per apartment, nor more than 3~ sq. tt. excluding public balls,
corridors or sta~s.
SECTION 2. That Section V be ameDded to include D-1 Districts:
EFFICIENCY APARTMENTS. In a D-1 pi.atrict front )'U'd set•backs shall be the
average aet-back ot residences in the block or 37.5 teet from the ceater line
of the street, whichever is greater, but not to aceed 2' teet trom the hoD&
property line. The rear yard aDd side yard set-back requirements shall be the
same as required in a •n• District.
SECTION 3. That Section MI be amended to c incltlde the following:

SECTION 4• COJISTRUCT·ION. The provisions of thia Ordinauce shall never be con·
strued as repealing a~ provisions of Ordinance No. 661 but shall be construed
as creatiug a new zoning district regulating etticienoy apartments as that term
1a herein defined aDd no ettioiency apartments, as that term is herein defined,
shall be constructed except 1n tun compliance w1 th all provisions attectiDg
D-1 Districts.

mission 'to de~ermi.ne the advisability of adopting ita proposal, and at which tille
and plaoe all interested persons will be given an opportunit7 to protest against
the propo1ed amelld~~ent or make reco~~~~~eDdationa in support thereof.
After said hearillg the City Co•1ssion will deterlline whether the Zoning
OrdiDaDCe will be amended in accordance with such reeommerrlation.
