AN ORDINANCE CLOSING CERTAIN STREETS AND ALLEYS IN THE CITY OF
LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, TO WIT: THAT PART OF AVENUE F
BEGINNING AT THE SOUTH LINE OF TWENTY-THIRD STREET THENCE SOUTH
TO TEE P'ORT WORTH AND DENVER SOUTH PLAINS RAILWAY COMPANY RIGHT
OF WAY AND TWENTY -FOURTH STREET BETWEEN AVENUE F AND THE WEST LINE
OF AVENUE E, AND TWENTY-FIFTH STREET BETWEEN AVENUE F AND THE WEST
LINE OF AVENUE E, AND TWENTY-SIXTH STREET BETWEEN THE WEST LINE OF
AVENUE E AND THE EAST LINE OF THE FORT WORTH AND DENVER SOUTH PLAINS
.RAILWAY COlPANY RIGHT OF WAY; AND ALL ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 11, 12 a.n.d
13 OF THE MERRILL ADDITION TO TEE CITY OF LUBBOCK,. LUBBOCK COUNTY ..
TEXAS, AS SHOWN BY TEE PLAT OF SAID ADDITION ON FILE IN THE COUNTY
CLERKS OFFICE OF LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK,
LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS:
ARTICLE 1:
That the following described parts of streets and alleys
be closed to the public:
All of that portion of Avenue F .described as follows:

All that portion of Twenty-fifth Street described as
follows: Twenty-fifth Street between Avenue F and the West line
of Avenue E.
All that portion of Twenty-sixth Street described a.s
follows: Twenty-sixth Street between the West line of Avenue E
and the East line of the Fort Worth and Denver South Plains Railway
Company right of Wa:y. ·
All alleys in Blocks 11, 12 and 13 of the Merrill Addition
to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
The above described parts of streets and alleys being designated in
red marks upon the plat attached hereto and made a. part hereof and
here referred to.
And it is ordained that the above described property in
streets and alleys and a.s shown on said plat be and the same are
hereby vacated and closed to travel by the public, and set apart
and dedicated wholly to the use and occupancy of the Southland · Cotton
Oil Company, a •a I 7 1 corporation, having its home office a.t Paris,
in Lamar County, Texas, and its successors and assigns, over and
upon which the sa.id Southland Cotton 011 Company may construct
buildings and other appurtenances and appliances and conveniences
connected with and applicable to the operation of its businesses
as set forth in its Charter purposes.
It being ordained that the said Southland Cotton Oil Com-
pany shall have free and exclusive use of the streets and alleys
hereinbefore described, vacated and closed for its own purposes and
its own business, to the exclusion of the public use of san:e, and to
the exclusion of tbe rights of all other parties to tbe use and
occupancy of same. .
