To The Urban Renewal Plan - 01/24/1985LJM:cl January 24, 1985 Agenda I tern #7 First Reading October 10, 1985 Agenda Item #17 Second Reading ORDINANCE NO. _87_0_7 ___ _ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITY Of LUBBOCK APPROVING ANO ADOPTING AN AMENDMENT TO THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN fOR THE MEMORIAL CENTER COMPLEX URBAN RENEWAL PROJECT, NO. TEX.R-138(C). WHEREAS, an amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan for the Memorial Center Complex Urban Renewal Project, No. TEX.R-138(C), hereinafter set forth as Exhibit A, and made a part hereof, has been reviewed by and approved by the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City' of Lubbock and by the Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Lubbock; and WHEREAS, the proposed amendment to said Urban Renewal Plan conforms to the general plan of development of the City as a whole and is compatible to the existing and proposed land uses, the thoroughfare plan, and recre- ational and community facilities of the area; and WHEREAS, a feasible method exists for the relocation of families or individuals who will be displaced from the proposed amendment to said Urban Renewal Area in decent, safe and sanitary dwelling accommodations within their means and without undue hardship to such families or individuals; and WHEREAS, the proposed amendment to said Urban Renewal Plan will afford maximum opportunity consistent with the sound needs of the City as a whole, for the rehabilitation or redevelopment of the Urban Renewal Area by private enterprise; NOW THEREfORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan for the Memorial Center Complex Urban Renewal Project, No. TEX.R-138(C) designated as Exhibit A to this Ordinance, BE and is hereby approved and adopted. AND IT IS SO ORDERED, Passed by the City Council on first reading this 24th day of January 1985. Passed by the City Council on second reading this 10 1985.
