WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recomm ... endation, which was received by the City Council. and after due consideration, the City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out wil be in the public interest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend-ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon ts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended · 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment~ and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City H Lubbock., Texas., at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and after said hearing, it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest., due to changed conditions., 'j:hat the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading here , NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to ... wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1524. Change a tract of land out of Section 7., Block E ... 2., Lubbock County, Texas., from an "R ... l''to an 1'R ... 2" Zoning District. Property is
further described by metes and bounds to wit:
BEGINNING at the southeast corner of Lot 25, Bryan Park Addition,
City of Lubbock., Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE East along the north line of 62nd Street 4,65 1+to a point which
would be in the centerline of Geneva Avenue, if extended south;
THENCE Northeasterly 123. 15' to a point in the centerline of Geneva Avenue; THENCE Westerly along the south line of an alley to the northeast corner of Lot 25, Bryan Park Addition; THENCE South along the east line of said Lot 25., 14ot+ to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. S:UBJEGT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION: 1.TnaF l 1./2 off ... street parking spaces be provided for each apartment unit. SECTION 2.
