AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1518: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTIO
17, BLOCK B., LUBBOCK COUNTY., TEXAS., FROM AN "R .. 111 TO A. "C-311 ZON-
ING DISTRICT. SUBJECT TO CONDITION.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made ha
been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommendati .,
which was received by the City Council and after due consideration, the City Coun
cil finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the
public fnterest; and,
WHEREAS., all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendmen
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with., as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 1011:f, Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961.,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more th
fifteen {15) days prior to the date .of the public hearing before the City Council on
such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor· of the City Hall., Lubbock,
Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal;and, after
said hearing it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public
interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Ma
be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance
and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW,
THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to ... wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1518
Change a tract of land out of Section 17, Block B, Lubbock County, Texas,
from an "R ... l" to a "C-311 Zoning District. Property is further described
by metes and bounds to wit:
BEGINNING at a point 50' south and 3921 west of the northeast corner of
Section 17, Block B;
THENCE East along the south right of way line of 19th Street a distance
of 3601;
THENCE South a distance of 50t;
THENCE East 71. 3r to a point (which is the northwest corner of Lot 1.,
Block 3., John W. Jarrott Subdivision;

THENCE South 316' to a point;
THENCE West 431. 31 to a point;
THENCE North 3661 to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:
1. That 2 square feet of parking area be provided for each square foot
of total floor area.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance, said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
shall be changed to the Zoning dist·rict indicated and the Official Map is amenaed
in accordance herewith.
