OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOW ...
ING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1248-C: CHANGE TWO TRACTS OF LAND
OUT OF SECTION 3., BLOCK E-2., LUBBOCK COUNTY., TEXAS, FROM "R .. 111
TO "R ... 211 AND "R .. 311 ZONIN'G DISTRICTS AS INDICATED BELOW; SUBJECT
TO THE FOLLOWIN'G CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made
has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its re ...
commendation, which was received by the City Council. and after due considerati< n,
the City Council finds~that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out
will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well
as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well
as notices provided by Article 1011£, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amendec
in 1961, and noticer wa-s,d~l~..pubL"i.shed in the Lub.bo:CJ~~: Avalanche Journal more
than fifteen (15~ays prior to the date of the public hearing before the City
Council on such proposed amendment., and the public hearing according to said
notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City
Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the propo ...
sal; and., after said hearing., it was by the City Council determined that it would
be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance
and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body
of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to the first
reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAJNED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to ... wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1248 ... C
Change Two tracts of land out of Sectio?.-3., Block E-2,. Lubbock County,
Texas, from "R-111 to "R ... 2" and "R-311(Zoning Districts as indicated
below: Property is further described by metes and bounds to wit:
TRACT 1-Change to "R-311
BEGINNING at a point in the north line of Section 3, Block E ... 2, Lubbock
County, Texas., that is 660t east of the Northwest corner of said Section
3, Block E-2., for the northwest corner of this tract;

THENCE North 89°541 east along said section line, a distance of 6601
to the northeast corner· of this tract;
THENCE South along Vicksburg Avenue 329. 9t to the southeast corner ..,
of this tract;
THENCE West 5881 to a point;
THENCE Northwesterly around the arc of a curve to the right having a
radius of 721 and an interior angle of 90°, a distance of 113. 11 to a
point;
THENCE North 256. 7t to a point and PLACE OF BEGINNING.
TRACT 2--Change to "H ... 211
BEGINNING at a point that is 6601 north 89°541 east of and 256. 7t south
of the northwest corner of Section 3, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas,
for the northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE South 219. sr to a point in the north line of a dedicated alley for
the southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE East along the north line of said alley a distance of 660t to a
point for the southeast corner of this tract;
THENCE North 147. 51 to a point for the northeast corner of this tract;
.THENCE West 588t to a point for a corner;
THENCE Northwesterly around the arc of a curve to the right having a
radius of 72r and an interior angle of 90°, a distance of 113. 1r to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ON THE TRACT 1 ... 11H-3"
PORTION:
1, That the development be limited to apartments only.
2. That a minimum of 1500 square feet of lot area be provided for each
apartment unit.
3. That a minimum of 1 1/2 paved off-street parking areas be provided
for each one bedroom apartment unit and that two such spaces be provided
for each two bedroom apartment nnits.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended
in accordance herewith.
AND IT JS SO ORDERED.
