AN ORDINANCE AMENDIDlG ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWIN
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1514: CHANGE THE NORTH 1/2 OF BLOCK"" 41,
OVERTON ADDITION, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS,
FROM AN "R.,.211 TO AN 11R•3" ZONING DISTRICT. SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOW
ING CONDITIONS IF DEVELOPED WITH APARTMENTS.,
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning district as hereinafter made
has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its re ...
commendation, which was received by the City Council and after due considerati ,
the City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out w:m.
be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendmen
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been complied with, as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article lOllf, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more th
fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on
such proposed amendment, and the public hearing according to said notice was
duly held in the City Council Room Gn the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock,
Texas., at which time pers9ns appeared in support of the proposal; and, after sai
hearing it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public
interest, due to changed conditions that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map
be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and
this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading hereof;NOW,
THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE
and the same are hereby amended as follows, to.,.wit:
ZONE CASENO. 1514
Change the North 1/2 of Block 41, Overton Addition, City of Lubbock_
Lubbock County, Texas., from an 11R.,.2" to an "R...,311 Zoning District.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS IF DEVELOPED WITH
APARTMENTS:
1. That a minimum of 1000 square feet of lot area be provided for each
apartment unit.
2. That a minimum of 1 1/2 paved off--street parking spaces be provided
for each one bedroom apartment unit and that two such spaces be provide
for each two bedroom apartment units.

SECTION 2. THAT fr~m and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance said lots., tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shalI
be changed to the Zoning district indicated and the Official M~p is amended in
accordance herewith.
AND IT JS SO ORDERED.
