AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 7084 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP or THE CITY or LUBBOCK so AS TO HAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES: ZONE CASE NO.
2447; CHANGE A TRACT or LAND OUT or SECTION 28, BLOCK E-2, CITY or LUBBOCK,
LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS FROM A-1 to C-2A ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO CONDI-
TIONS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 1-4 or THE CITY
CCDE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the proposed changes in zoning es hereinafter made have been
duly presented to the Planning end Zoning Commission for its recommendation
which was received by the City Council end, after due consideration, the
City Council finds that due to changed conditions, it would be expedient
end in the interest of the public health, morels, end general welfare to
make those proposed changes in zoning; end
WHEREAS, ell conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend-
ment to the Zoning Ordinance end Map have been fully complied with, es well
es giving notices in compliance with Section 26 of Ordinance No. 7084, es
well es notices provided by Article 1011f, Vernon's Annotated Civil
Statutes, amended in 1961, end notice was duly published in the Lubbock
Morning Avalanche-Journal more then fifteen (15) days prior to the date of
the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment, end
the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City
Council Room on the second floor of the City Hell, Lubbock, Texas, et which
time persona appeared in support of the proposal; end, after said hearing,
it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public
interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the
Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of
this Ordinance end this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first
reeding hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL or THE CITY or LUBBOCK:
ZONE CASE NO. 2447
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 7084 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby emended es follows, to-wit:
Change a tract of lend out of Section 28, Block E-2, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas from A-1 to C-2A Zoning District located south
of 50th Street and from 500' to 792' west of Slide Road, subject to
conditions and being further described as follows:
METES AND BClJNDS DESCRIPTION of a 2 acre+ tract located in Section 28,
Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows:
BEGINNING et a point which beers South approximately 30.0 feet end
West approximately 501.6 feet from the Northeast corner of Section 28,
Block E-2;
THENCE South approximately 300.0 feet;
THENCE West approximately 290.4 feet;
THENCE North approximately 300.0 feet;
THENCE East approximately 290.4 feet to the Point of Beginning.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
a. That it be limited to professional offices.
b. That it be tied to prior site plan approval before the issuance
of building permits.
SECTION 2. THAT violation of any provisions of this Ordinance shell
be deemed a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed two hundred
dollars as provided in Section 1-4 of the City Code.
SECTION J. THAT should any paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or
word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any
reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be effected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause
publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as en alternative
method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
