HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 5361-1967 - Amending Zoning Ordinance 1695 Zone Case 1509 - 11/22/1967,'"I. 1;==o==f1==$KJ=:=jk=b=================~=:=====,:===r;;.:::~.=====~ \\ 1, II -2.2.-l"IU 1-A /2-/Lt-1q1.11 ORDINANCE NO., 5361 ' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1509: CHANGE TWO TRACTS OF LAND OUT OF SECTION 4,., BLOCK O., LUBBOCK COUNTY~ TEXAS., FROM AN "R-1" AND "C ... 411 TO "R .. 3" AND 11M.,.1 11 ZONING DlSTRICTS.1 WHEREAS., the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recomm .. endation., which was received by the Ci\y Council and after due consideration the City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,, WHEREAS. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amend ... ment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with• as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices provided by Article l0llf., Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment., and the public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall., Lubbock, Texas, at which time p~rsons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after said hearin~ it was by the City Council. determined that it would be in the public interest., due to changed conditions., that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows., to.,.wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1509 Change two tracts of land out of Section 4, Block O, Lubbock County, Texas., from an "R.,.!11 and "c ... 4" to 'H"'"3" and "M.,.111 Zoning Districts. Property further described by metes and bounds to wit'! . . '( . TRACT J ... Change from "R ... 1" to "R.,.311 BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Lot 3., Mote Addition, City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE West to a point in the east right of way line of Quirt Avenue; THENCE North to a point in the south line of l&th street; THENCE East 270'+ to a point even with thew.est line of Lot 11 Keeton Addition; - !.. KJ:jkb THENCE South to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.·· TRACT 'II ' : Change from "C-411 to ·"M-'111 BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Lot 4, Mote Addition, City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE East a distance of 8101; THENCE South to the south line of E. 10th Street; THENCE East to a point in the centerline of Ute Avenue; THENCE South to a point even with the south line of Ma in Street; THENCE West to a point located 1701 west of Spruce Avenue; THENCE North to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof sha be changed to the Zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended in accordance herewith.
