AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1092.,.B: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF
SECTION 6,. BLOCK E.,.2,, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS FROM AN 'R •311 TO A
"C-411 ZONING DISTRICT: SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS.
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
been duly presented to·the Zoning and Planning Commission for its recommenda ...
tion, which was received by the City Council and after due consideration., the
City Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be
in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendmen ,
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with., as well as giving
notices in compliance with Section 20 of OrdinanceNo. 1695 as well as notices
provided by Article 1011£, Vernonts Annotated Civil Statutes., amended in 1961,
and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more
than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing according to said
notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City
Hall, Lubboc~ Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal
and, after said hearing, it was by the City Council determined that it would be
in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and
the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of
this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading
hereof; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official ·zoning Map BE
and the same are hereby amended as follows., to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1092.,.B
Change a tract of land out of Section 6, Block E,,.2, Lubbock Comfy, Texa1,
from an "R.,.311 to a 11c ... 4" Zoning District,. Property is further described
by metes and bounds to....-wit:
BEGINNING at a point which is 8121 north and 1006. 21 east of the south ...
west corner of Section 6, Block E-2,, Lubbock County., Texas, said
point also being the northeast corner of Lot 1, D."1A~lvj Addition to the
City of Lubbock;
THENCE West along the north line of Lot 1, D~!A.N".1 Addition a distance
of 143. 5t;
THENCE North a distance of 764. sat;
THENCE 59oogt east a distance of 177.041 to a point in the west line of
Englewood Avenue;

THENCE South along the west line of Englewood Avenue a distance of
868. 37t to the PLACE OF BEGINNING., save and except the east 143. 5t
of Lot 1 .. Splawn.,.Henry Addition.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. That a 1001 building setback line be observed from the east property
line.
2.. -That a 5t solid permanent type screening fence be erected and per ..
manently maintained along the east property line.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance said lots, tracts., and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof
shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official Map is amended
in accordance herewith.
