Portions Of Drainage Easement In Live Oak And Addition - 02/09/198410940 life And Return To Ed Bucy R-O-W Jf7-<;; l( ~-J.o-f>ll vtlL3065 PAGt237 ORDINANCE NO. 8550 AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF A DRAINAGE EASEMENT IN THE LIVE OAK ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONING ANO CLOSING; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that portions of the drainage easement as hereinafter described are no longer needed for public use and it would be in the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the same; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT said portions of the drainage easement hereinafter described shall BE and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for drainage easement purposes; A portion of Tract G, Live Oak Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at the Southwest corner of Tract G, Live Oak Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE N. 00°03 1 W. a distance of 135.00 feet; THENCE N. 89°57' E. a distance of 50.00 feet; THENCE s. 00°03' E. a distance of 35.00 feet to a point of curvature; THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 50.00 feet, a central angle of 90°, tangent lengths of 50.0 feet, and a chord distance of 70.71 feet; THENCE N. 89°57' E. a distance of 102.31 feet; THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 380.73 feet; a central angle of 29°41'50", tangent lengths of 100.94 feet and a chord distance of 195.14 feet; THENCE S. 89°57' W. a distance of 390.32 feet to the POINT OF BEGIN- NING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer shall mark said abandoning and closing on the official maps of the City, giving the number of the Ordi- nance, and its date of final passage. •" .... • VOL3065 PAGE238 SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
