WHEREAS, the City Council created the Lubbock Commission to ©o at 'Brug Abuse to offer assistance and to educate the general public concerning t e dangers of drug abuse; and WHEREAS, this Commission has served the community faithfully; an WHEREAS, the duties and objectives of this Commission are now bei performed by other organizations and this Commission is now inactive: NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinances Nos. 5953 and 5974 of the City of Lubbock BE and are hereby repealed, thereby dissolving the Lubbock Com- mission to Combat Drug Abuse. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
