J AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A SPECIFIC USE
PERMIT, TO-WIT: ZONE CASE NO. 1983: CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT
OF SECTION 28, BLOCK E-2, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS,
FROMAN "A-111 TO AN 11A-2" SPECIFIC USE PERMIT, TO-WIT: PROFESSIONAL
TYPE OFFICES; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUB-
LICATION.
WHEREAS, after receiving the recommendations of the Planning and Zoning
Commission and after due notice and public hearing and all matters having been
done and performed as required by Section 14-A of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695 of
the City of Lubbock, (said Ordinance being an Appendix to the Lubbock City Code)
relating to Specific Use Permits, the City Council finds that due to changed
conditions, it would be expedient and in the interest of the public health, morals,
and general welfare to authorize the granting of a Specific Use Permit as herein-
after set forth; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT the Director of Planning of the City of Lubbock is
authorized to issue a Specific Use Permit to the Applicant in Zone Case No. 1983
in accordance with the recommendations and conditions imposed by the Planning
and Zoning Commission, on file with the office of the Director of Planning. and
the City Council which are hereby adopted and incorporated herein by reference
for all purposes, provided said Applicant agrees to be bound by the terms of the
Specific Use Permit, the granting of which is hereby im.de subject to compliance
to all provision of Zoning Ordinance No. 1695, an Ordinance of the City of Lubbock
including particularly, but not limited to, Section 14-A of Zoning Ordinance No.
1983 within twenty--four (24) nnnths of the effective date of this Ordinance, the
City Secretary-Treasurer shall be and is hereby authorized and instructed, upon
written notice from the Director of Planning that Applicant has not complied with
the provisioll'j, conditions and terms imposed by this Ordinance, to note Applicant'
failure to comply on the margin of the Minutes of the City Council opposite
entry of this Ordinance, and the authorization to issue such Specific Use Permit
is hereby revoked; and the Director of Planning in such event is directed to
remove from the Zoning Map the legend indicating such limited use. The
Specific Use authorized by this Ordinance is for Professional Type Offices, under
provisions of Section 14-A. 1-10 of the Zoning Ordinance on the property described
below:
ZONE CASE NO. 1983
Change a Tract of land out of Section 28, Block E-2.
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from an
11A-l" to an 11A-211 Specific Use Permit, to, wit:
Professional Type Offices.

Property is further described by metes and bounds, to-wlt:
BEGINNING at a point in the South Right-of-Way line of
50th Street, said point bears South 30. 00 feet and West
1300. 20 feet from the Northeast corner of Section 28,
Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE West, along the South Right-of-Way line of
50th Street, a distance of 178. 40 feet to a point in the
East Right-of-Way line of Bangor Avenue;
THENCE South, along the East Right-of-Way line of
Bangor Avenue a distance of 300. 00 feet;
THENCE East, a distance of 178, 40 feet;
THENCE North, a distance of 300. 00 feet to the
PLACE OF BEGINNING.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effectlve date of this Ordinanc ,
said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed
to the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map:its amended in accordance
herewith.
SECTION 3. THAT should any Section, paragraph, sentence, clause,
phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any
reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause
publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternatlve method
provided by law.
