ORDINANCE NO. 6979 Amended
ORDINANCE NO. 6239 ORDINANCE NO. _ _..6_97_9_
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 623 9 OF THE CITY
OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, BY REVISING THE SITE PLAN MADE A PART THEREO
SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that after all notices have been given
and hearings held as provided by law, and that it is in the best interest of the
citizens of the City of Lubbock to make the change in the zoning law as set forth
below; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION l. THAT Ordinance No. 6239 of the City of Lubbock, 'T.exas, BE
and is hereby amended by revising the approved site plan IIB.de a part thereof
and development shall be in accordance with such revised site plan approved by
the City Council on -;,;Q,ct.gtie.r;.; 1 a . , 1974.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITION:
The setbacks, landscaping and limitation on no additional
free-standing signs shall be as shown on the approved
site plan. This approved site plan covers not only the
property described in this ordinance but the entire Tracts
A and B. South Plains Mall Addition, City of Lubbock,
Texas.
SECTION 2. The changes set forth in Section 1 above shall in no way affect
the conditions made a part of Ordinance No. 6239 and such original conditlons
shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION 3. THAT any person, firm or corporation owning or operating
the subject property failing to comply with the conditions imposed by Section 1
hereof shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be
subject to a fine not to exceed TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS and each and everyday1s
violation thereof shall constittl:! a separate and distinct offense.
The failure of any corporation owning or operating the subject property to
comply with any of the conditions imposed by Section 1 hereof shall render the
President, Vice-President, General 1\/hnager, Local 1\-:hnager and Local Agent
liable to the penalty prescribed in this section.
SECTION 4. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase
or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason,
the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.

SECTION 5. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause
publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method
provided by law. ·
