WHEREAS, the City-Council finds that the Alley portions hereinafter des- cribed are n9 longer needed for Alley purposes and for public use; and., ' WHEREAS~ the Cit~ Council finds it vrould be to the public interest .to close, vacate and aband~n the same for Alley purposes and to public use; and NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Alley portions as hereinafter described shall BE and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for Alley purposes and for public use; ALL of the 15. 00 foot East-West Alley in Block 1, Sunset Addition to the City of Lubbock., Lubbock County., Texas. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed ~o mark the official map of the Citycrif Lubbock to indicate that the alley described in Section 1 hereof has been closed and abandoned,. showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage. SECTION 3. THAT should any section., paragraph., sentence., phrase, claus or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for a.r;iy reason., the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
