AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 7084 THE OFFICIAL MAP OF
THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES: ZONE CASE NO. 2127-B;
ZONE CHANGE FROM R-1, R-2 and A-1 TO C-3 ON A TRACT OF OUT OF SECTION 11,
BLOCK E-2 TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS; SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS;
BROVIDING FOR A PENALTY AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 1-4 F THE CITY CODE;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATIO.

WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law or a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complie with, as well as
giving notices in compliance with Section 26 of Ordinan e No. 7084, as well as
notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated C vil Statutes, amended
in 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock M rning Avalanche-
Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date o the public hearing
before the City Council on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing
according to said notice was duly held in the City Coun il Room on the second
floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time p rsons appeared in
support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it wa by the City Council
determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions,
that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner here-
inafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and thi Ordinance having been
introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBO K:
ZONE CASE NO. 2127-B
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 7084 and the Off cial Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
A Zone Change from R-1, R•2 and A-1 to C-3 on a tr ct of land out of
Section 11, Block E-2 to the City of Lubbock, Lubb ck County, Texas
located south of Loop 289 and from 820' to 1900' est of Memphis Avenue,
subject to conditions and being further described as follows:
METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION for a tract of land ocated in Section 11,
Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, being further d scribed as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears N. 00°02'4611 W.
feet and S. 89°58'50" E. a distance of 655.40 fee
corner of Section 11, Block E-2, Lubbock County,
distance of 2827.98
from the Southwest
THENCE N. 00°01'10" E. an approximate distance of 680.0 feet;

SECTION 2. THAT violation of any p ovisions of. this Ordinance shall
be deemed a misdemeanor punishable by a fin not to exceed two hundred dollars
as provided in Section 1-4 of the City Code.
SECTION 3. THAT should any paragra h, sentence, clause, phrase or
word of this Ordinance be declared unconst utional or invalid for any reason,
the remainder of this Ordina1ce shall not b affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the !City Secretar hereby authorized to cause I publication of the descripti~e caption of Ordinance as an alternative
method provided by law. ·
