ORDINANCE NO. 6933
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING WNING ORDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE
FFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING
CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1967: CHANGE LOTS 1-12, BLOCK 3. LOTS 8-14.,
LOCK 2, SANDERS ADDITION, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY,
TEXAS, FROM AN R-3 AND C-4 TO AN M-1 ZONING DISTRICT: SUBJECT TO
CONDITIONS; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has
een duly presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendatio
hich was received by the City Council and., after due consideration., the City
Council finds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the
ublic interest; and.,
WHEREAS., all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
o the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving
otices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695 as well as notices
rovided by Article 1011£, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961.,

hen fifteen 0.5)daysprior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council
on such proposed amendment., and the public hearings according to said notice was V
duly held in the City Council Room on the Second Floor of the City Hall, Lub°q9ck,
Texas, at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and, after
said hearing., it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public
Lnterest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map
e amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and
his Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW
THEREFORE:
E IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCll\:
SECTION 1~ THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
he same are hereby amended as follows; to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1967
Change Lots 1 .. 12, Block 3, Lots 8-14, Block 2,
Sanders Addition, City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas from ancR-3 and C-4 to an M-1
Zoning District.
UBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. Sufficient off ... street loading space shall be provided for all
freight truck loading and unloading operatlons.

2. A soHd screaiirg fence of wood or masonry shall be installed
and permmently maintained along the South and East property
lines.
3. A mininn1m of lOo/o of the lot areas shall be landscaped and
permanently maintained.
4. All ingress and egress shall be lLmited to 2nd Street and
Avenue G.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
rdinance said lots, tracts and parcels of land described in Section l hereof shall
e changed to the Zoning District indicated and the Official Map is amended in
ccordance herewith.
SECTION 3. THAT any person> firm or corporation owning or operating
he subject property failing to comply with the conditions imposed by Section 1
ereof shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be
ubject to a fine not to exceed TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS and each and everyday1s
iolation thereof shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
The failure of any corporation owning or operating the subject property to
comply with any of the conditions imposed by Section 1 hereof shall render the
President, Vlce-President, General l\ihnager, Local Manager and Local Agent
iable to the penalty prescribed in this section.
SECTION 4. THAT should any section> paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase
or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason,
he remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 5. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause
publication of the descriptLve caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method
provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
