AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A RIGHT-OF-WAY AND PUBLIC UTILITIES
EASEMENT LOCATED IN THE LUTHERAN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK
COUNTY, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER IN THIS ORDINANCE;
DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MA.Bl{ THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT
SAID ABANDONING AND CLOSING; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS the City Council finds that the right-of-way and public utilities
ea,sement as hereinafter described in the body of this ordinance is no longer
needed for public use and it would be in the public interest to close, vacate
and abandon the same; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT said right-of-way and public utilities easement des-
cribed as follows:
A 50 foot right-of-way and public utilities easement, located in the
Lutheran Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and
being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which is Two Hundred Ten (210) Feet North of the S/E
corner of Lot Four (4), Luthex-an Addition, and such point lying in the
Ea.st Boundary line of said Lot Fou'r (4) fox-the place of beginning.
THENCE in a Westerly diriaction to a point in the West Boundary line of
Lot One (1), Lutheran Addition which is Two Hundred Ten (210) Feet North
of the S/W corner of Lot One (1), Lutheran Addition;
THENCE North on the West Boundary line of Lot One (1), Lutheran Addition,
a distance of Fifty (50) Feet to a point;
THENCE Easterly to a point in the East Boundary line of Lot Four (4),
Lutheran Addition, which point is Two Hundred Sixty (260) Feet North of
the S/E corner of Lot Four (4), Lutheran Addition;
THENCE South on the East Boundary line of Lot Four (4), Lutheran Addi-
tion, a distance of Fifty (50) Feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING.
BE and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer shall mark said abandoning and closing
on the official maps of the City, giving the number of the ordinance, and its
date of final passage.
SECTION 3. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to
cause the publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an
alternative method of publication as provided by law.
