JAR ROTT SUBDfVISION IN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE: DntECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL ~p OF THE CIT OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUB- LICATION. WHEREAS., the City Council finds that the alley portions hereinafter de- scribed are no longer needed for alley purposes and for public use; and, WHEREAS., the City Council finds it would be to the public interest to clos , vacate and abandon the same for alley purposes and to public use; and NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the alley portions as hereinafter described shall BE and the same are hereby closed., vacated and abandoned for alley purposes and for public use; The North-South alley in the Williams Subdivision of the John W. Jarrott Subdivision, an Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at the Northeast corner of Lot 7., Williams Subdivision; THENCE South a distance of 282.5 feet to the Southeast corner of Lot S, Williams Subdivision; THENCE East a distance of 15.00 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 3., Williams Subdivision; THENCE North a distance of 282.5 feet to a point in the South right-of-way line of 22nd Street; THENCE West a distance of 15. 00 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed t mark the officiap map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the alley described in Section 1 hereof have been closed and abandoned, showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage. v SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
