Zoning Ord. #7084 And Lubbock Map For Changes: Zone Case #2371 - 06/24/1982!SMH:mck ' II 8337 I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 7084 AND THE 0 FICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES: ZONE CASE NO. 23 71 ; CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTION 29, BLOCK A-K, CITY OF L BBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM R-1 TO R-2 AND A-2 ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJEC TO CONDITIONS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 1-5 OF THE ITY CODE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the proposed changes in zoning as hereinafter ma e have been duly presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its recomm ndation which was received by the City Council and, after due consideration,ithe City Council finds that due to changed conditions, it would be expedient an~ in the interest of the public health, morals, and general welfare to make thos~ proposed changes in zoning; and I 1 WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a v~lid amendment to ' the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as!well as giving notices in compliance with Section 26 of Ordinance No. 7084, a$ well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, hmended in 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing ace rding to said notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second fl or of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in suppor of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zo ing Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set fo th in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced pr or to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: I i ZONE CASE NO. 2371 THAT Ordinance No. 7084 and the Official ztning Map Be and the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: 1 SECTION 1. I Change a Tract of land out of Section 29, Block A-K, Citylof Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, froni R-1 to R-2 and A-2 Zoning District. (Located south of 66th Street and from 1320 feet to 1908 feet west'of Frankford Avenue) METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION of a 2.21 acre tract located in Section 29, Block A-K, Lubbock County, Texas, being changed from R-1 o R-2 zoning district, and being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which bears N. 89°59' W. a distance f 1761.21 feet from the Northeast corner of Section 29, Block A-K, Lubbo k, County, Texas; I THENCE South an approximate distance of 655.00 feet; THENCE West an approximate distance of 147.07 feet; THENCE North an approximate distance of 655.00 feet; THENCE East an approximate distance of 147.07 feet to the Point of Begin-,, ning. METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION of a 5.186 acre tract of land located in Section 29, Block A-K, Lubbock County, Texas, being changed from R-1 to A-2 zoning district, and being further described as folldws: '!
