fVOt1794 PAGE 430 :mck ORDINANCE N0.8302 ---- AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING THE FOLLOWING PORTIONS OF ALLEY: A PORTION OF ALLEY LOCATED IN SECTION 15, BLOCK A, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO INDICATE THE CLOSING AND ABANDONMENT OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS:t the City Council finds that the Alley portions hereinafter described are no longer needed for Alley purposes and for public use; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be to the public interest to close, vacate and abandon the same for Alley purposes and to public use; and NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the Alley portions as hereinafter described shall BE and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for Alley purposes and for public use: A portion of an alley located in Section 15, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at a point which bears South 1191.43 feet and East 3692.9 ·feet from the Northwest corner of Section 15, Block A, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 200 feet, a central angle of 5°37'20", tangent lengths of 9.82 feet, and a chord distance of 19.62 feet; THENCE N. 38°38' E. a distance of 471.59 feet; THENCE N. 30°59' E. a distance of 95.78 feet; THENCE W. _a distance of 21.56 feet; THENCE s. 31°15'29" W. a distance of 89.30 feet; THENCE S. 38°38' W. a distance of 457.00 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the Alley described in Section 1 hereof has been closed and abandoned, showing the number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
