AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. '1695 AND
THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO. 1177-A: CHANGE A TRACT OF
LAND OUT OF SECTION s .. BLOCK E-2. LUBBOCK COUNTY• TEXAS.
FROM AN "R-111 TOAN "R-211 ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO
CONDITIONS:
WHEREAS,. the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter
made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission for
its recommendation,. which was received by the City Council and after due
consideration. the City Council finds that making the proposed change as
hereinafter set out will be in the public interest,. and
WHEREAS. all conditions precedent by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with.. as well
as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695
as well as notices provided for by Article 1011£,. Vernon"s Annotated Civil
Statutes,. amended in 1961 .. and notice was duly published in the Lubbock
Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen {15} days prior to the date
of the public hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment ..
and the public he aring according to said notice was duly held in the City
Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall,. Lubbocka Texas, at
which time persons appeared in support of the proposal; and,. after said
hearing it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public
interest due to changed conditionsa that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zon-
ing Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this
Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading
hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1: THAT Ordinance No. 169 5 and the Official Zoning Map
BE and the same are hereby amended as follows,. to-wit:
ZONE CASE NO. 1177 -A
Change a tract of land out of Section 8, Block E-2. Lubbock
County .. Texas,.. from an "R ... l 11 to an "R-211 Zoning District.
Property is further described by metes and bounds. to-wit:
BEGINNING at a point which is 2670' east and 1350t south of the
northwest corner of Section 8,. Block E-2,~~ Lubbock County. Texas,
said point beirg 301 east and 301· south of the center line of Memphis
Avenue at its intersection with the proposed center line of 54th
Street. City of Lubboc~ Lubbock County,. Texas;

THENCE EAST 410t to a point;
THENCE South 125t to a point in the north line of an alley;
THENCE West along the north line of said alley 4101 to a point
in the east line of Memphis Avenue;
THENCE North along the east line of Memphis Avenue 125~ to
the PLACE OF BEGINNING,.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. 1 1/2 paved. off-street parking spaces shall be provided
and maintained for each apartment unit.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this
Ordinance said lots • tracts and parcels of land described in Section 1
hereof shall be changed to the zoning district indicated and the Official
Map is amended in accordance herewith.
