AN ORDlli"ANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO~t 1695 AND
THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE
FOLLOWING CHANGE: ZONE CASE NO.i 1469: CHANGE A PART OF LOT
3 PADGETT ... MARSHALL SUBDIVlSDN, CITY OF LUBBOCK~ LUBBOCK
COUNTY~ TEXAS, FROM A "C ... 2" TO A ffC--3" ZONING DISTRICT.-
SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS:
WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter
made has been duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Commission
for its recommendation, which was received by the City Council and after
due consideration, the City Council finds that making the proposed change
as hereinafter set out will be in the public interest; and,
WHEREAS,. all conditions precedent required by law for a valid
amendment to the Zoning Ordinance and Map haMe been fully complied with~
as well as giving notices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 1695
as well as notices provi.@d by Article 1011£, Vernonts Annotated Statutes,
amended in 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning
Avalanche Journal more than fifteen (15) days priort:> the date of the public
hearing before the City Council on such proposed amendment, and the
public hearing according to said notice was duly held in the City Council
Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock. Texas, at which time
persons appeared in support of the proposal;; and, after said hearing it
was by the City Council determined that it would be in~the public interest, du
to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be
amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and
this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading hereof: NOW
THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map
BE and the same are hereby amended as follows, to~it:
ZONE CASE Noi,~ 1469
CHANGE a part of Lot 3, Padgett.,.Marshall Subdivision, City of
Lubbock. Lubbock County, Texas, from a 11C.,.2" to a "C.,.311 Zoning
District. Property is further described by metes and bounds as
follows, to"Wit:

BEGINNING at a point on the South boundary of 34th Street~ 75!
West of the Northeast corner of Lot 3, Padgett-Marshall Subdivision;
THENCE West 1271 along the South boundary of 34th Street;
THENCE South 100' parallel to Knoxville Avenue;
THENCE .East 20' parallel to 34th Street;
THENCE South 162. 5' parallel to Knoxville Avenue;
THENCE East 107' parallel to 35th Street;
THENCE North 262. 5' parallel to Knoxville Avenue to the PLACE OF
BEGINNING.
SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. That said property be developed in accordance with the plan
presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission and on file
in the office of the Secretary of the Planning and Zoning Commission.
2. That "C-2" sign regulations be observed.
SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of thLs
ordinance, said lots, tracts, and parcels of land described in Section 1
hereof shall be changed to the Zoning District indicated and the official Map
is amended in accordance herewith.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
