AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF A DRAINAGE EASEMENT
LOCATED IN TRACT A, KDAV ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK., LUBBOCK COUNTY,
TEXAS AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER IN THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING
THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID
ABANDONING AND CLOSING; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council find that the portion of a drainage easement as
hereinafter described in the body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for
public use and it would be to the public interest to close, vacate, and
abandon the same; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1: THAT said drainage easement described as follows:
METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION for a portion of a 100 foot Drainage Ease-
ment, located on Tract "A", KDAV ADDITION to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock
County, Texas, to be closed, being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears S89°53'E 1275.53 feet and S00°15'20"W
90.00 feet from the Northwest Corner of Tract "A", KDAV ADDITION to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE North 89°53'50"W, a distance of 180.00 feet;
THENCE South. 00°15'20"W, a distance of 20.00 feet;
THENCE South 89°53'SO"E, a distance of 180.00 feet;
THENCE North 00°15'20"E, a distance of 20.00 feet to the point of be-
ginning.
Contains 3,600 square feet of land.
be and the same is hereby closed, vacated and abandoned.
SECTION 2: THAT the City Engineer shall mark said abandoning and
closing on the official maps.of the City, giving the number of the Ordinance,
and its date of final passage. The remainder of the drainage easement not
specifically closed is hereby retained.

SECTION 3: THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to cause the publication of the descriptive caption ·of this Ordinance as an
alternative method of publication as provided by law.
