HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance - 5097-1966 - Amending Zoning Ordinance 1695 Zone Case 1231 Acre Addition - 09/22/1966o - \ ·a-\9Ulo OODINANCE NQ. 5097 N CRDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ffiDINANCE NO. 1695 AND THE OFFICIAL P OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE: ONE CASE NO. 1231-A; CHANGE THE SOUTH 4251 OF LOT 1, AND THE NORTH 451 OF LPT 4, BLOCK 25., CRUMP 5 ACRE.ADDITION, CITY OF LUBBOCK, UBBOCK COUNTY TEXAS FROM "C-3" AND "R-211 TO A "C-411 ZONING DIS-., , RICT...LIM-llED TO '1C-3'1 USES PLUS CAR DEALERSHIP AND MOTOR HOTEL. WHEREAS, the proposed change in zoning districts as hereinafter made has een duly presented to the Zoning and Planning Cpmmission for its recommendation hich was received by the City Council and after due consideration., the City Counc · inds that making the proposed change as hereinafter set out will be in the public ·nterest; and, WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment o the Zoning Ordi,n..._•:i...11ce and Map have been fully complied with, as well as giving otices in compliance with Section 20 of Ordinance No. 169 5 as well as notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon1s Annotated Civil Statutes, amended in 1961, and otice was published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche Journal more than fifteen 15) days prior to the date of the public hearing before the City Council on such roposed amendment., and the public hearing according to said notice was duly eld in the City Council Room on the second floor of the City Hall, Lubbock., Texas., at which time persons appeared in support of the proposal., and, after said hearing, it was by the City Council determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions, that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 1695 and the Official Zoning Map BE and the same are hereby amended as follows., to-wit: ZONE CASE NO. 1231-A Change the south 425t of Lot 1, and the north 145t of Lot 4, Block 25, Crump 5 Acre Addition, City of Lubbock., Lubbock County, Texas., from "C-3" and "R-211 Zoning Districts to a "C-4" Zoning District limited to "C-311 uses plus car dealer- ship and motor hotel. SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING: 1. That a 6! solid permanent type screening fence ( wood or masonary) be constructed and permanently maintained along the Avenue property line, along the south property line extending from Avenue P to a point even with the west line of Lot 1, Wayland Addition and along the north property line extending from Avenue P to a point even with the west line of Lot 10., Hilton Addition. Said fence to be constructed concurrently with or prior to the first building permit. No driveway openings shall be permitted in the fence. Pedestrian "gate" openings shall be permitted. Said fence shall not be required when a building or portion thereof, is located within 51 of a property line, provided further that the building has no door openings more than 51 wide. 2. That no building be located closer than lQQI to the Avenue P property line. 3. That any body and/or paint shops be located a minimum of 1001 from any property line. SECTION 2. THAT from and after passage and effective date of this Ordinance., aid lots, tracts., and parcels of land described in Section 1 hereof shall be changed o the zoning district indica-pe.d and the Official Map is amended in accordance here- ith.
