AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING AMY PERSON FROM:
KEEPING OR USING ANY OUTDOOR PRIVY OR TOILET UPON Ju'IT LOT
OR TRACT OF LAND, THE OUTSIDE LillE OF WHICH .A:BUTS UPON A
S'rREET OR ALLEY IN 1.VHICH THERE IS A SANITARY SEWER LINE
WITHIN .A DISTANCE OR RADIUS OF 100 FEET FROM SUCH OUT-
SIDE LINE OF SAID LOT OR TRACT OF LAND, tn-rLESS CONNECTED
WI'l'H SUCH SANITARY SEWER; FIXING A PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
THEREOF; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF T HEl
CITY OF LU:SBOCK, TEXAS 1
(1) That is hereby made unlawful for any
person to keep or uae an outdoor privy or toilet upon any
lot or tract of land the outside line of which abuts upcn
a street or alley in which there is a sanit11ry sewer line
within a distance or radius of 100 feet from such outside
line of said lot or tract of land, unless connected with
such sanitary sewer.
{2) Every day that such person violates
this ord~nance shall be considered a separate offense.
(.3) Every violation of this ordinance sra 11
be punished by a fine not exceeding $100.00.
(4) The fact that the use of such outdoor
privies and toilets not connected with the sanitary sewer
createe foul and offensive odors, attracts flies, breeds
and spEeads sickness, and endangers the public health gen-
erally, creates an emergency and public necessity requir-
ing that this ordinance take effect from and after this
date• and it is so ordered.
