AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 7084 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF
THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SO AS TO MAKE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES: ZONE CASE NO. 2294;
CHANGE A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTION 19, BLOCK E-2, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK
COUNTY, TEXAS FROM R-1 and T TO C-2, A-1, and A-2 ZONING DISTRICT; SUBJECT TO
CONDITIONS; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY AS PROVIDED FOR IN SECTION 1-5 OF THE CITY
CODE; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the proposed changes in zoning as hereinafter made have been
duly presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission for its recommendation
which was received by the City Council and, after due consideration, the City
Council finds that due to changed conditions, it would be expedient and in the
interest of the public health, morals, and general welfare to make those
proposed changes in zoning; and
WHEREAS, all conditions precedent required by law for a valid amendment
to the Zoning Ordinance and Map have been fully complied with, as well as
giving notices in compliance with Section 26 of Ordinance No. 7084, as well as
notices provided by Article lOllf, Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes, amended
in 1961, and notice was duly published in the Lubbock Morning Avalanche-
Journal more than fifteen (15) days prior to the date of the public hearing
before the City Council on such proposed amendment, and the public hearing
according to said notice was duly held in the City Council Room on the second
floor of the City Hall, Lubbock, Texas, at which time persons appeared in
support of the proposal; and, after said hearing, it was by the City Council
determined that it would be in the public interest, due to changed conditions,
that the Zoning Ordinance and the Zoning Map be amended in the manner here-
inafter set forth in the body of this Ordinance and this Ordinance having been
introduced prior to first reading hereof; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
ZONE CASE NO. 2294
SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 7084 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
Change a tract of land out of Section 19, Block E-2, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas from R-1 to C-2 zoning district. This property is
further described by metes and bounds as follows:
A 12.089 acre tract out of the North half of Section 19, Block E-2,
Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a. 1" iron pipe found at the Northwest corner of Section 19,
Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas as the Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE S. 89°58'50" E., along the North line of said Section 19, a distan e
of 801.67 feet to a ~~~ iron rod with cap marked "RPS 1676" set in the
North line of said Section 19 as the Northeast corner of this tract, said
iron rod also being a Northwesterly corner of a 37.095 acre tract also
surveyed this date;
THENCE S. 00°00'20" E. along a Westerly line of said 37.095 acre tract, a
distance of 656.67 feet to a~" iron rod with cap marked "RPS 1676" set
as the Southeast corner of this tract, said iron rod also being an "L"
corner of said 37.095 acre tract;

THENCE S. 89°59'40" W., along a line of said 37.095 acre tract, at
446.67 feet pass a ~" iron rod with cap marked "RPS 1676" set as a
Northwesterly corner of said 37.095 acre tract and as the Northeast
corner of a 6.112 acre tract also surveyed this date, continuing along
the North line of said 6.112 acre tract for a total distance of ;,.
801.67 feet to a ~" iron rod with cap marked ,;RPS 1676" set in the West
line of said Section 19 as the Southwest corner of this tract, said iron
rod also being the Northwest corner of said 6.112 acre tract;
THENCE N. 00°00 1 20" W., along the West line of said Section 19, a distanc
of 657.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
SECTION 2. THAT Ordinance No. 7084 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
Change a tract of land out of Section 19, Block E-2, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas from T to A-1 zoning district. This property is
further described by metes and bounds as follows:
A 6.112 acre tract out of the Northhalf.of Section 19, Block E-2,
Lubbock County, .Texas, being further desctibed.as follows:
BEGINNING at a ~" iron rod with cap marked "RPS 1676" set in the West
line of Section 19, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas, which bears S.
00°00'20" E. a distance of 657.00 feet from the Northwest corner of said
Section 19, said iron rod being the Northwest corner of this tract and
the Southwest corner of a 12.089 acre tract also surveyed this date;
THENCE N. 89°59 140" E., along the South line of said 12.089 acre tract, a
distance of 355.00 feet to a ~" iron rod with cap marked "RPS 1676" set
as the Northeast corner of this tract, said iron rod also being a North-
westerly corner of a 37.095 acre tract also surveyed this date;
THENCE S. 00°00 1 20" E. along the West line of said 37.095 acre tract, at
650.00 feet pass a ~" iron rod with cap marked "RPS 1676" set as a South-
westerly corner of said 37.095 acre tract and as a Northerly corner of a
4.001 acre tract also surveyed this date, continuing along a line of said
4.001 acre tract for a total distance of 750.00 feet to a ~" iron rod
with cap marked "RPS 1676" set as the Southeast corner of this tract,
said iron rod also being an "L" corner of said 4.001 acre tract;
THENCE S. 89°59'40" W., along a Northerly line of said 4.001 acre tract,
a distance of 355.00 feet to a ~" iron rod with cap marked "RPS 1676" set
in the West line of said Section 19 as the Southwest corner of this
tract, said iron rod also being the most Northwesterly corner of said
4.001 acre tract;
THENCE N. 00°00'20" W., along the West line of said Section 19, a distanc
of 750.00 feet to the Point of Beginning.
SECTION 3. THAT Ordinance No. 7084 and the Official Zoning Map BE and
the same are hereby amended as follows, to-wit:
Change a tract of land out of Section 19, Block E-2, City of Lubbock,
Lubbock County, Texas from T to A-2 zoning district. This property is
further described by metes and bounds as follows:

is further described by metes and bounds as follows:
A 25.222 acre tract out of the North half of Section 19, Block E-2,
Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows:

A 11.873 acre tract out of the North half of Section 19, Block E-2,
Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point in the North line of Section 19 which bears S.
89"58'50" E. an approximate distance of 801.67 feet from the Northwest
corner of Section 19, Block E-2, Lubbock County, Texas;
THENCE S. 89°58'5011 E., along the North line of Section 19, an
approximate distance of 746.33 feet;
THENCE S. 00°01'10" w. an approximate distance of 72.00 feet to a
point of curvature;
THENCE Southwesterly around a curve to the left, said curve having
a radius of 1056.84 feet, a central angle of 14°26'30", tangent
lengths of 133.90 feet, and a chord distance of 265.68 feet;
THENCE S. 14 °25 '20" E. an approximate distance of 331.92 feet;

SECTION 6. THAT violation of any provisions of this Ordinance shall
be deemed a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed two hundred dollars
as provided in Section 1-5 of the City Code.
SECTION 7. THAT should any paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or
word of, this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason,
the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 8. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized to cause
publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative
method provided .by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
