T )" .e..uuJI"l 12.,1/.-IJ:;J JWF/pg ·. 4: rr-Tv C::I="C:RETARY-TREASU.RER ORDINANCE NO. 8117 Z-Z6-fll AN ORDilfli~ ABANDONING AND CLOSING A PORTION OF A UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED IN THE VICINITY OF AVENUE K AND 4TH AND 5TH STREETS AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREINAFTER IN THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONING AND CLOSING; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the portion of utility easement as hereinafter described in the body of this ordinance is no longer needed for public use and it would be to the public interest to close, vacate, and abandon the same; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK SECTION 1. follows: That said portion of utility easement described as A 19 feet wide portion of a utility easement off to West side of Avenue K, from 4th Street to 5th Street, to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, and being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a 3/8" iron rod found in the South R.O.W. line of 4th Street and the West line of Avenue K, the Northeast corner of Block 5, Original Town to the City of Lubbock, Texas; the Northwest and beginning corner of this tract; THENCE East, 15.32 feet to a point on the back of a curb and gutter, for the Northeast corner of this tract; THENCE Southeasterly along the back of said curb and gutter, and the arc of a curve to the right, an arc distance of 11.68 feet to the P.T. of said curve, said curve has a radius of 28.74 feet, a central angle of 23° 171 06" and a chord that bears South 15° 51' 36 11 East, 11.60 feet; THENCE South 0° 02' 04 11 East, along the back of the West curb and gutter of Avenue K, a distance of 261.74 feet, to the P.C. of a curve to the right, and a corner of this tract; THENCE Southwesterly along the back of said curb and gutter and the arc of a curve to the right, an arc distance of 13.57 feet to a point on the back of curb and gutter on Avenue K, and the North line of 5th Street, for the Southeast corner of this tract; said curve has a radius of 19.85 feet, a central angle of 39° 09' 55" and a chord that bears South 9° 59' 15" West, 13.31 feet; THENCE West, 16.34 feet to a found 1/2" iron rod, the Southeast corner of Block 5, Original Town, the Southwest corner of this tract; THENCE North, along the West line of Avenue K, a distance of 286.0 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Be and the same is hereby closed vacated and abandoned. ,. <if. SECTION 2.
