ORDINANCE NO • ___ 9_1_1_3 __ _
AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF A STORM WATER STORAGE
AND DRAINAGE EASEMENT LOCATED IN SECTION 14, BLOCK E-2, LUBBOCK COUNTY,
TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE;
DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK
TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that those portions of the storm water
drainage and storage easements as hereinafter described in the body of this
Ordinance are no longer needed for public use and it would be in the public
interest to close, vacate and abandon the same; NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
SECTION 1. THAT those portions of the storm water storage and
drainage easement as hereinafter described shall BE and the same are hereby
closed, vacated and abandoned for easement purposes and for public use;
A portion of Lots 1 through 6, King's Gate West Addition to the
City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears N. 00°03'13" E. a distance of
348.37 feet ands. 89°58 15011 E. a distance of 70.00 feet from
the Southwest corner of Section 14, Block E-2, Lubbock County,
Texas;
THENCE N. 00°03'13" E. a distance of 757.84 feet;
THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the left, said curve
having a radius of 1055.00 feet, a central angle of 6°14 1 16",
tangent lengths of 57.49 feet, and a chord distance of 114.80
feet to a point of reverse curvature;
THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the right, said curve
having a radius of 545.00 feet, a central angle of 34°24'40",
tangent lengths of 168.76 feet, and a chord distance of 322.42
feet;
THENCE S. 00°03'13" W. a distance of 50.02 feet;
THENCE S. 45°03 1 13" W. a distance of 56.57 feet;
THENCE S. 00°03'13" W. a distance of 261.66 feet:
THENCE N. 89°58 150 11 W. a distance of 115.00 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING.

SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer shall mark the official maps of the
City of Lubbock to indicate said abandoning and closing, showing the number
of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage.
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase,
clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for
any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an
alternative method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
