II I I l 1 i l 27642 File And Jbtmn To Ed llucy R-0-W First Reading July 23, 1987 Agenda Item #16 VOL 2612 PAGE 13:) Second Reading August 13, 1987 Agenda Item #5 ORDINANCE NO. 9097 I HW:js AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLOSING AN UNDERGROUND STREET LIGHT CABLE EASEMENT LOCATED IN LAKERIDGE COUNTRY CLUB ESTATES ADDITION TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, AND MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; DIRECTING THE CITY ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAPS OF I ii THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO REFLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A 1 SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the underground street light ca- ble easement as hereinafter described in the body of this Ordinance is no longer needed for public use; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the public inter- est to close, vacate and abandon the same for street light cable purposes and for public use; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT the underground street light cable easement here- inafter described shall BE and the same is hereby closed, vacated and aban- doned for street light cable purposes and for public use; A tract of land in Section 15, Block E-2, same being a two-foot-wide underground street light cable easement granted to Lubbock Power and Light Company (2' USE-LPL) on the South 2 feet of the original Lot 498, Lakeridge Country Club Estates, an addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, being further described as follows: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of the original Lot 498, Lakeridge Country Club Estates Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas; THENCE S. 86°17 148 11 W., along the South line of said Lot 498, a dis- tance of 150.38 feet to the Southwest corner of said Lot 498, same be- ing a point of intersection with the following curve; THENCE Northeasterly, along the West line of. said Lot 498, around a curve to the left, said curve having a radius of 532.49 feet, a cen- tral angle of 00°13 137 11 , tangent lengths of 1.05 feet, a chord dis- tance of 2.10 feet, and a chord bearing of N. 14°30 118 11 E.' THENCE N. 86°17 148 11 E. a distance of 149.97 feet to a point in the East line of said Lot 498; THENCE S. 03°25 133 11 W., along the East line of said Lot 498, a dis- tance of 2.02 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING. _ .. ~> Tto • ,. THAT the City Engineer shall mark the official maps of the ' City to indicate said abandoning and closing, showing the number of this Or- dinance and the date of its final passage. SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an al- , ternative method provided by law.
