Of Sec 28, BLK E-2 - 03/13/1980SMT:pc ORDINANCE NO. 8016 -~ ...__.,-/ I I "- --~~ \ AN ORDINANCE CORRECTING ORDINANCE NO. 7983, BEING AN AMENDMENT TO ORDINANCE ~~\\.~ NO. 7084 AND THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, SO AS TO CORRECT THE J METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION OF A TRACT OF LAND OUT OF SECTION 28, BLOCK E-2, ( J) CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY, TEXAS, WHICH WAS CHANGED FROM R-1 TO R-2 ZONE ·' i} DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR A PENALTY; PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING ?;,;j1 FOR PUBLICATION. •/ WHEREAS, Zone Case No. 2261 included the zone changes as hereinafter set out which were duly heard by the Planning and Zoning Commission which sent its recommendation to the City Council which determined that said changes would be in the best interest of the citizens of the City of Lubbock, and WHEREAS, the change in legal description herein is necessary to effectuate the intent of the Planning and Zoning Commission recommendation and of the City Council in making the zone district change made in Ordinance No. 7983, and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that tl1is amendment is necessary to correct the Zoning Ordinance and the official City Map; NOW THEREFORE: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK: SECTION 1. THAT Ordinance No. 7983, Section 2, and the official City Map BE and are hereby amended as follows, to-wit: Change a tract of land out of Section 28, Block E-2, City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, from R-1 to R-2 zoning district. This property is further described by metes and bounds as follows: BEGINNING at a point which bears N. 89°54'45" W. approximately 3060 feet from the Southeast corner of Section 28, Block E-2; THENCE N. 89°54'45" W. an approximate distance of 235 feet; THENCE North a distance of 1315.67 feet; THENCE s. 89°54'45" E. a distance of 320.02 feet; THENCE around a curve to the right, said curve having a radius of 2758.79 feet and an approximate chord distance of 30 feet; THENCE Southwesterly around a curve to the right, an approximate chord distance of 115 feet to a point of reverse curvature; THENCE Southwesterly around a curve to the left, an approximate chord distance of 195 feet; THENCE South an approximate distance of 790 feet to a point of curvature; THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the left, an approximate chord distance of 95 feet to a point of reverse curvature; THENCE Southeasterly around a curve to the right, an approximate chord distance of 95 feet; THENCE South an approximate distance of 80 feet to the Point of Beginning. SECTION 2. THAT violation of any provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed two hundred dollars as provided in Section 1-5 of the City Code. SECTION 3. THAT should any paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby. SECTION 4. THAT the City Secretary is hereby authorized .to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative method provided by law. AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
