LOCAT�D IN SECTION 7, BLOCK B, CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY,
T�XAS, WIIICH IS MORE PARTICULARLY D�SCRIBED IN THE BODY OF TIIIS
ORDINANC�; DIRECTING TH� CITY ENGINEER TO MARK TH� OFrICIAL MAPS
Or THE CITY TO IZ�rLECT SAID ABANDONMENT AND CLOSING; PROVIDING A
SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
WIII:RI?AS, the City Council finds that the rights-of-way hereinafter dcscribed in the
body of this Ordinance are no longer needed for public use; and it would bc in the public
intcrest to close, vacate and abandon the same for public usc; NOW TIILIZEFORL-;:
BE IT ORDAINED I3Y TIIL CITY COLJNCIL OF TIIE CITY OF LUBBOCK:
S�C'1'ION l. TIIAT the streets as hereinaftcr dcscribed shall B� and the same is
hcreby closcd, vacated and abandoned for public use, such arca bcing more particularly
described in the attached Exhibits "A."
SLC'I'ION 2. 'fIIAT the City �ngineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the
official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing, showing the
number of this Ordinancc and the date of its final passagc.
SIICTION 3. 1'HA1' should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word
of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this
Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
SI:C"1'ION 4. '1'IIA"1� the City Secretary of the City of Lubbock is hereby authorized
and directed to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative
method providcd by law.

METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION of a 02657 acre portion of Avenue "B", located West of and adjacent to J.J. Dillard
Addition to the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas and East of and adjacent to Block 2, Usleaman's Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas, said 0.2657 acres being further described as follows:
BEGINNING at a 1/2" iron rod with cap marked "HRA" set in the Western boundary of the J.J. Dillard Addition to the City of
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas as recorded in Volume 444, Page 86, Deed Records of Lubbock County, Texas (DRLCTX),
for the Southeast corner of this tract, which bears N. 01°49'40" E. a distance of 421.17 feet from a 1/2" iron pipe found at the
original Southwest corner of Lot 12 of said J.J. Ditlard Addition;
THENCE N. 88°17'29" W., at 24.01 feet pass a"MAG" nail with washer marked "HRA" set in reference, continuing for a total
distance of 48.03 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap marked "HRA" set for the Southeast corner of Block 2, Usleaman's Addition to
the City of Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas as recorded in Volume 18, Page 540, Volume 31, Page 197 and Volume 91, Page
463, DRLCTX, for the Southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE N. 01°42'31" E., along the Eastern boundary of said Block 2, a distance of 239.83 feet to a point for the Southwest
corner of a previously closed portion of Avenue "B", street closure described in Volume 407, Page 634 of the Deed Records of
Lubbock County, Texas, for the Northwest corner of this tract;
THENCE S. 88°10'20" E., along the South line of said street closure, at 3.50 feet pass a 1/2" iron rod with cap marked "HRA" set
in reference, continuing for a total distance of 48.53 feet to a 1/2" iron rod with cap marked "HRA" set in the Western boundary
of said J.J. Dillard Addition at the Southeast corner of said street closure, for the Northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S. 01 °49'40" W., along the Western boundary of said J.J. Dillard Addition, a distance of 239.73 feet to the Point of
Beginning.
Contains: 11,576 square feet more or less.
