WIII:RI?AS, the City Council finds that the rights-of-way hereinafter dcscribed in the body of this Ordinance are no longer needed for public use; and it would bc in the public intcrest to close, vacate and abandon the same for public usc; NOW TIILIZEFORL-;: BE IT ORDAINED I3Y TIIL CITY COLJNCIL OF TIIE CITY OF LUBBOCK: S�C'1'ION l. TIIAT the streets as hereinaftcr dcscribed shall B� and the same is hcreby closcd, vacated and abandoned for public use, such arca bcing more particularly described in the attached Exhibits "A." SLC'I'ION 2. 'fIIAT the City �ngineer is hereby authorized and directed to mark the official maps of the City of Lubbock to reflect said abandonment and closing, showing the number of this Ordinancc and the date of its final passagc. SIICTION 3. 1'HA1' should any section, paragraph, sentence, phrase, clause or word of this Ordinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected thereby.
