ORDINANCE NO. 6774
AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND CLQ)ING THE FOLLOWING PORTIONS
OF ALLEY DESCRIBED AS THE NORTH 15 FEET OF La!' 2, BLOCK 12,
MAYFIELD SUBDIVJSION OF ROBERTS AND MOWHORTER ADDITION IN THE
CITY OF LUBBOCK, LUBBOCK COUNTY. TEXAS; DIRECTING THE CITY
ENGINEER TO MARK THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK TO
INDICATE THE CL031NG AND ABANDONMENT OF THAT CERTAIN ALLEY;
PROVIDING A SAVINGS CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICA 'liON.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds tl:lt. t the portion of alley hereinafter
described a.11e no longer needed for alley purposes and for public use; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council finds it would be to the public interest to
close, vacate and abandon the same for alley purposes and to public use; and
NOW THEREFORE:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF LUBOOCK:
SECTION 1, THAT the portion of alley as hereinafter described shall
BE and the same are hereby closed, vacated and abandoned for alley _purposes
and f~r public use;
The North 15.00 feet of Lot 2, Block 12,. Mayfield Subdivision
of the Roberts & Me Whorter Addition to the City of Lubbock.,
Lubbock County, Texas.
SECTION 2. THAT the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed
to mark the official map of the City of Lubbock to indicate that the alley
described in Section 1 hereof has been clesed and abandoned, showing the
number of this Ordinance and the date of its final passage,
SECTION 3. THAT should any section, paragraph .. sentence., phrase,
clause or word of this OL(tinance be declared unconstitutional or invalid for any
reason, the remainder of this Ordinance shall not be affected1hereby.

SECTION 4. THAT the C~ty Secretary is hereby authorized and directed
to cause publication of the descriptive caption of this Ordinance as an alternative
method provided by law.
AND IT IS SO ORDERED.
